When using the Dexta after a few hours with a slasher recently, it repeatedly jammed in second gear and the gear selector ball end disengaged from the selectors. Remedy is to undo 4 bolts, lift off top plate, use screwdriver to align selectors, replace plate making sure worn selector ball drops into place, do up 4 bolts then make one or two.

The Dexta remains E345GA9 from 1957 till end of production. The crown wheel and pinion were also chanced in the Super Dexta from 4605A (Dexta) to 4605 (Super Dexta).
